Nuclear Medicine imaging system: Millennium MG (TM) & Xeleris 3.1 (TM) workstations, both manufactured by GE Healthcare. The system provides exceptional image quality and fast image acquisition. Nuclear medicine imaging is unique in that it documents organ function and structure, in contrast to diagnostic radiology, which is based upon anatomy. Some nuclear medicine imaging capabilities include: visualizing heart blood flow/function, assessing lungs for respiratory/blood flow problems, analyzing bones, identifying gallbladder function/inflammation, identifying bleeding in the bowel, locating areas of infection, measuring the thyroid, localizing lymph nodes, determining size/shape of liver/spleen, and calculating the strength of heart muscle.
